Luminara is a project that blends Unreal Engine's MetaHuman with Arcware Cloud streaming to revolutionize online shopping. The Yacht Configurator Showcase by Arcware offers an immersive digital experience, allowing users to explore and customize a luxury yacht in real-time. Utilizing Unreal Engine, the configurator enables detailed visualization of the yacht's features, interior, and exterior options. This interactive tool enhances user engagement by providing a photorealistic, virtual tour of the yacht.

For MIFCOM PCs, we built a simple 3D configuration tool to enhance the customer experience. MIFCOM, known for high-end gaming PCs, caters to gamers who expect their shopping experiences to be as innovative as their gaming. This next-gen commerce integrates products into the metaverse via 3D streaming, shifting marketing expenses towards tools that lead to higher engagement, conversions, and sales. For MIFCOM, transferring existing branding communication into the new interactive media of 3D streaming is a natural progression. Their target audience, with a high affinity for gamification, expects MIFCOM to reinvent the brand experience with metaverse tools and mindsets. This new toolset not only meets these expectations but also represents a significant shift in marketing strategy, enhancing engagement and driving higher sales through an immersive virtual experience.

Building the digital twin from existing CAD files and transforming them into an interactive 3D experience was straightforward. The detailing on the bracelet enhances the photoreal look of the Franck Muller watch, while the introduction of a landscape and a simple studio environment demonstrates an advanced way of showcasing products in the upcoming metaverse. The virtual product studio represents the initial step into interactive 3D experiences, combining the core app, which holds the digital twin, with staging environments. For Franck Muller, this marks the beginning of gaining valuable experience, market feedback, and essential information, paving the way for 'next gen commerce'. The Prim Bay virtual experience was built inside Unreal Engine in close collaboration with architects. Buildings were imported from the architectural planning software, the landscape was modeled based on geolocation, plants populated the landscape, and furniture was added to the apartments. The goal was to provide a VR experience to potential buyers that could run on a powerful laptop and be streamable to any screen. Scene optimization was crucial, and the experience was fine-tuned to run smoothly on a laptop with an Nvidia RTX 2070, ensuring the best possible frame rate. For the 3D streamed version, additional foliage and details were added due to the increased headroom regarding frame rates. The sales of the resort's embedded apartments are essential for financing. The interactive experience aims to sell the apartments before construction, allowing potential buyers to visualize the apartments and their interiors interactively. This visualization helps secure investments by providing confidence in the future look and feel of the apartments. Creating the project within Unreal Engine 4 enabled the generation of marketing content on the fly, with tailored photoshoots and videos of both interiors and exteriors in virtual 3D environments, enhancing the overall marketing strategy.

Conform has all products well organized as CAD files, which provided the groundwork for building an immersive 3D experience. To make the chairs look nice and comfy, the cushioning ‘soft’ parts were remodeled using the CAD files as references. Wrinkles were added for realism, and special attention was given to the creation of fabrics and leathers. Additionally, the chairs can be placed in different virtual living rooms, enhancing the customer's experience. The 3D stream of Arcware Cloud has become the right tool for Conform to realize higher sales, making it a success story. The configurator has become the core tool for Conform's marketing needs, making their entire product range accessible and placing important decisions in the hands of the customer. Conform benefits massively from the configurator, which has integrated 18 chairs, 37 types of leather, 90 fabrics, 4 kinds of wood, 5 feet, and two tables, resulting in over 1.5 million variants. This virtual store delivers all these variations with the required quality, capturing the subtle nuances of different fabric styles. The creation of this immersive 3D experience has boosted sales, making Conform's product portfolio more accessible and enhancing their market presence.

The Swarovski virtual store experience is modeled after a real Swarovski store, with crystals based on 3D CAD files. We utilized the latest real-time 3D technology, paying special attention to the lighting and the crystals. Caustics – the refraction of light through the crystals – and ray tracing are included to enhance the visual experience. Customers can smoothly navigate the scene, moving from one piece of jewelry to the next, immersing themselves in the world of Swarovski. Entering a virtual store and experiencing the beauty of crystals as if physically present will forever change online shopping expectations. This virtual store experience transfers the luxurious promise of shopping in real stores into the digital realm. As we move into the age of the metaverse, neither customers nor leading brands like Swarovski will settle for less. The key metrics for e-commerce, such as conversion rates and ROI, are expected to improve with real-time 3D streaming experiences, leading to higher engagement, increased sales, and decreased returns.
